A short, conversation-length twine game about a writer confronting the monster they've created - and how much the monster reflects themselves. Written for Narrascope Game Jam 2020 with the theme "Growth."

It's a prototype, as I might return to it in the future! I recommend putting it in full screen.

content warning: body horror, implied death

Thank you to AK Fedeau and Grim Baccaris for Twine help!

This game was partially inspired by Marcus Sedgewick's The Monsters We Deserve.

Deliciously creepy!

Really great work! I love what you did with all the formatting trick with the text! Any pointers on how to do things like creating the color gradients you did?

this is awesome! i think it would be really cool if you made it into a novel or short story.

actually, if you're okay with it, i'd like to write that story. obviously not for pay and with credit to you, but i'd love to be able to do that.

Hi! I really appreciate that you enjoyed the game.  It's a prototype and I'm strongly considering expanding it myself.

The sense of dread I got whilst playing this... This was great!

Good stuff! Works equally as well as horror and a more metaphorical work!
