Welcome Back is a short, cathartic interactive fiction story about a train station that only services liminal spaces, and your journey to find someone important to tell them something important.

It takes about fifteen minutes to play, and I'd recommend setting it to fullscreen!

Thank you Devin Yang (@devinScribbles) for the lovely cover art, Grim Baccaris (@grimoirtua) for Twine help, and Anna Webster and Kit Conklin for moral support and reminding me that humans need to eat and sleep.

You can find the rest of my itch.io projects here, my website and contact info here, and my Twitter account here. Thanks so much for playing!

This is so lovely. I do think I may have hit  a broken thread as well...? May give it another go another time as I would love to finish the moment --

It was lovely and atmospheric to play, and it told me some things I needed to hear, though I think I hit a broken thread (didn't get an ending). I am also glad I was listening to some appropriate music while playing. Made the space feel more real. Overall, just a nice experience.

I've been meaning to play your games for a while, and I'm glad I did. I played with this in the background and it was perfect. The core idea is gorgeous, it's well-written and implemented, and weirdly it managed to give me closure about a situation where real closure will never be possible. Might have shed some cheeky tears :') Thank you for making this, and well done for the impressive, high calibre work!

oh, lord, i have never felt so emotionally attached to a character for a long long time, thank you

perhaps some voice acting and sounds could make the experience even more amazing :P

personally I think voice acting would take away from it, but ambience or sounds would be really nice

this is indeed very liminal and i appreciated your approaches to it and the pockets of warmth (at least in the routes i took) in contrast
